Fakund Patio Project An audiovisual installation inspired by the creativity of Józef Ignacy Kraszewski Adam Smoczyński - video installation Jarek Kordaczuk - soundtrack Facundus Fakund Patio Project   Note from the booklet of installation: The title of the installation refers to one of the pen names of Józef Ignacy Kraszewski, which can be associated with Facundus and Primitivus - both 4th century martyrs, about whom the only available fact is that they existed. It may have a non accidental connection with the project. Although, being inspired by Kraszewski's work, the installation doesn't tell about it itself. It is rather a commentary to an incredibly rich legacy of the 19th century writer. The authors of the installation try to direct our thoughts towards organic aspects of creation mechanisms and convulsive (primitive) creative energy, which seems to be the immanent feature of human condition. Using the language of specific coexistence and correlation of vision and sound, Smoczyński and Kordaczuk enliven fragments of city architecture, commenting on Kraszewski's creative process - implicitly the creative process in general. Kraszewski himself seems to be the pretext, but beyond a doubt he is the leading example (or even a proof of existence) this uncontrollable power of drive or urge of creation. The power which is introduced in a macroscopic lens by moving picture and sounds of Fakund Patio Project. *   *   * The project was implemented in partnership with the Association of Friends of the Public Library in Olsztyn, and the Public Library.   Fakund Patio Project.
