3-5-7 Suite Three-movement piece for string quartet and conducted children\'s audience Commission: Polish Association of Contemporary Music Suite 3-5-7 SuiteIn its basic assumptions the piece is an educational and is aimed at children aged 7-12 years. The goal is very simple: the awakening of metro-rhythmic consciousness. More specifically, the awareness of the young audience that in music there is such a thing as the meter and that, contrary to popular music that surrounds them today, the meter doesn't have to be duple! Therefore, the task of the work is to teach young listeners to recognize other than binary metric divisions, and in particular convince him that the grouping beats into 3, 5 or 7 may be at least as interesting as ubiquitous in his mucical experience divisions of 2 and 4. Naturally, the idea of the project is to achieve this goal using the least amount of words addressed to listeners. After a brief introduction the children's audience accompanied by string quartet perform a song basing solely on the gestures of the conductor.
